·Welcome to the Dreamers series, created in collaboration with Emma Wand Photography. Celebrating the beauty, chaos and magic of real family life. This month, meet Olatz Berger (@olatzberger ), a mama of two who likes to keep it simple. Living her dream, unhurried and present life with her family of four in Byron Bay, NSW.

Hi Olatz! Can you introduce yourself and your family to us?
Isaac (30) is our calm, steady presence. Always grounding us and bringing a sense of balance to our days. Lover of the ocean and nature. Olatz (35) beach queen, drawn to creativity, slow living, and finding beauty in the everyday moments. Martina (4) is sensitive, loveing and imaginative. She is the most caring child, bringing so much joy, love, energy and magic into our world. Mateo (3 months), our newest little soul, has already shifted the rhythm of our family in the sweetest, most tender way. He is very curious and grounded like his dad.

Where are you currently calling home? What are your favourite local rituals or spots for slow mornings ?

What does a real, unfiltered week look like for you? Balancing creativity, motherhood, and everything in between?
A real week for me is a mix of everything. Beautiful, chaotic, inspiring.... and sometimes overwhelming! Balancing creativity with motherhood means embracing flexibility and letting go of rigid expectations (sometimes it’s really hard because I love to have everything planned and under control). Some days flow effortlessly, others don’t, and I’m learning to be okay with both.

Are there any grounding rituals or small practices that help you stay connected to yourself?
How do you approach nourishment in your home ?
Nourishment in our home goes beyond food. It’s about creating a space that feels calm, loving, and safe. We focus on simple, wholesome meals (I’m a veggie lover and always I like to cook and experiment with different recipes), but also on the emotional environment. Slowing down, being present, and truly connecting with each other. Since my daughter it’s very little we always sit together on the table to eat and talk in every meal and that I think it’s beautiful and super important to connect. This teaches her the importance of the communication and connection between us, to speak about everything and eat good food.
