WE ARE ARTISTS

We believe every kid is an artist and this year, we’re inviting them to step into the studio and draw inspiration from the greats.

Our 2026 theme is The Artist’s Studio. A celebration of art history, artistic expression, and the magic that happens when a young mind meets a big idea. This year, we’re asking kids to let the masters (and the modern makers) spark their imagination ….Then make the idea entirely their own.

You can draw, paint, collage, print, or mix it all together. there are no rules, only creativity.

YOU MIGHT WANT TO

-Create your own self-portrait in the style of an artist you love

-Make a collage inspired by Matisse’s cut-out technique

-Draw a cubist portrait of someone in your family

-Paint an abstract piece inspired by shapes, colour and balance

-Create a piece inspired by a specific artwork that moves you

There are no rules. Just creative fun!

We cannot wait to see what our little community of artists creates. Every single entry will be featured in our online exhibition, and the winner's work will be brought to life in next year's Banabae collection.

HOW TO ENTER:

1. Make your masterpiece! Draw, paint, collage- whatever calls to you. The theme is The Artist's Studio, so let the world of art inspire you. Get out your old art books, coffee table books or take a trip to the library.

2. Photograph or scan your child's artwork and email it to us at hello@banabae.com with the subject line 'We Are All Artists'. Include your child's first name and age.

3. Tag us! We'd love to see your rad kids getting creative! Snap some pics or videos of the process and tag us @banabae_au so we can share in the fun.
